Conflict minerals
Regarding the use of conflict minerals as mentioned in the Dodd-Frank Act, we as Lutz Holding GmbH declare for us, our subsidiaries Lutz Pumpen GmbH, Lutz-Jesco GmbH, Lutz GmbH & Co. KG, MTE Motors and Tools Engineering S.A and all subsidiaries involved within the group of companies with regard to the "Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act", effective July 21, 2010, as follows:
As a manufacturer of drum and container pumps, metering pumps and primary packaging materials made of tubular glass, we do not ourselves engage in direct imports of minerals and thus also of so-called "conflict minerals" such as cassiterite (tin ore), columbite-tantalite (coltan, tantalum ore), gold, wolframite (tungsten ore). These materials can only be used by us in processed form as additives in metals, in surface coatings or in electronic components.
We obtain our primary products exclusively from well-known manufacturers who are also audited by us in accordance with our quality standards. Most of our suppliers have been known to us for years and are not "gray market" suppliers. As a user of primary materials, we have no influence on the origin of materials used by our suppliers. Therefore, we cannot assume any guarantee in this respect. With our suppliers, we are committed to traceability and transparency for their products. Many of our suppliers provide information on material properties and origin on their websites.
